Comedian and author David Walliams parted ways with book publisher.
Prolific children's author and entertainer David Walliams has parted ways with his UK book publisher, the company has said.
A representative for the publisher commented: "Upon deliberation, and under the leadership of its recently appointed chief executive, HarperCollins UK has chosen to cease publishing future works by David Walliams."
Media sources suggest that the conclusion was taken subsequent to an inquiry regarding allegations of conduct deemed unsuitable involving female individuals.
The publisher declined to specify the reasons for its decision, stating: "It is not our policy to discuss internal matters."
A Prolific Publishing History
Walliams stands as a most successful children's authors, boasting over more than 60 million copies internationally in dozens of tongues.
His inaugural foray into kids' literature, *The Boy in the Dress*, was published by HarperCollins fifteen years ago.
Several of his works, such as *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have found new life as TV movies.
He has published in excess of 40 works altogether, which features a festive story named *Santa & Son*, which came out under HarperCollins in October.
Television and Literature
His initial claim to fame came on the broadcast sketch program *Little Britain* and has also won National Television Awards for his role as a panelist on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was awarded an OBE back in 2017 for his services to the charitable sector and arts community.
The publisher's decision comes after the naming of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's recent CEO in October.
